The Canon 5D mark II is a stills camera that also shoots HD video at 1080P.
Why use it ? Put simply the pictures are stunning and totally immersive – it has a quality all of its own and a full size sensor. Over one and a half times the size of 35mm, the chip is bigger than Red, D21, and F35… which gives you images with very shallow depth of field and a unique cinematic quality.
The camera produces digital files that are recorded onto compact flash cards. A 16 gigabyte card will hold approximately 45 minutes of 1080 P rushes.
